"NOT" Making the Cut

I have decided that maybe Jillian Michaels is too hard core for me. Don't get me wrong, I think she's fabulous! After going through the book, "Making the Cut" I decided that to do it right, I would have to follow her plan exactly....and I just don't have the time or energy. There is a lot of good stuff in the book that I will use and will be very helpful.
Here's the plan:
I am going back to what I did before, just exercising as much as I can and eating my 1500 calories or less a day. It worked before and I know it will again. I am slowly getting started. It's so hard to get back into gear when you have taken so much time off.
One of the first things Jillian says to do is take before pictures and all your measurements. I had Justin help me with my measurements last night...BIG mistake....or maybe it wasn't. Now he knows how fat I am, but now he can keep me honest. (When I was measuring myself, I may have pulled the tape a little tighter than I should have) He does a really good job to keep me on track and focused. He would not take pictures of me though. He told me to just do my best. Hmmm, I probably don't want to see it anyway. I have enough fat pictures of myself to look at to keep me motivated.
That's it for now, stay tuned!

Making The Cut

Starting tomorrow, Saturday....I'm making the cut, see below!
My neighbor started this program and she is doing great on it and I pretty much love everything Jillian Michaels has ever done...so, I'm going for it! Its going to take a lot of self-control and discipline, but I'm so ready for it!

New iMac

So, we have known for a while that our computer was on its last leg. It quit burning CD's and would freeze up every once in a while. On Monday night, the monitor died (and would come back to every once in a while for a few seconds). Our old computer was a Mac Mini and we had it for almost 5 years. Its has been really good little computer and we haven't had too many problems with it. And now Justin is a "Mac" guy. So, we had to get another one. This is what we got......

Apple iMac 3.06 GHz with 27" display!!!
(this is a terrible picture of my messy desk)
Intel® Core™2 Duo processor; 4GB DDR3 SDRAM; DL DVD±RW/CD-RW SuperDrive; 1TB hard drive; built-in webcam; built-in AirPort Extreme (802.11a/b/g/n); Bluetooth; Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard

In comparison.....
These pictures actually don't do it justice. Its gigantic! We are excited and hope it lasts as long as our old one.
And just like that...poof, there goes our tax refund :(

Fun Times

On Saturday, we went out with some of the guys from my work shooting. We had the best time! Here are some of the pictures..... Everyone with their weapon (unloaded, of course) Kenlee shooting a .22 rifle for the first time. She did really well and followed her Daddy's instructions closely.

She also got to shoot this little .22 cowboy pistol.
This is my Boss' gun, its an AR-15...is was AWESOME!
Justin with his gun of choice...Dan Wesson, 1911 .45 cal

Family portrait...isn't that cute!

We are hard core, just look at us...lol!

Sad Sarah

These are some sad pictures of Sarah after she came home from the vet. It broke my heart. She went under the couch and wouldn't come out.
We got her a heating pad and cuddled with her all night.
Less than a week after her surgery, she was back to normal....Playful and running around the house like before :)

J A City

I volunteered for Kenlee's class to help in Junior Achievement City at Discovery Gateway. It was amazing. Its just like a little city with all different businesses. I could not believe all the detail that went in to this project. All the 5th graders had assigned jobs they had to do. Not to mention, opening a savings account, depositing payroll checks and shopping. There was a lot going on in the 4 hour span. To say the least, I had a huge headache and it would have been a lot easier to go do my real job for the day. It was a really unique experience for the kids and I wish they had to do it every year. So if you get the chance and your child's school goes, you should volunteer for this. You have to see it to believe it!

Kenlee was a bank teller and she was super busy...she did a great job!

This is the elevator the kids rode in. It was gigantic! I had to take a picture.

I was so busy the whole time that these are the only pictures I got..its too bad because it was amazing!
