Twilight Movie Night

This is us! We went to the 10:40 show at The District's Megaplex.
WOW.....Don't we look like teenagers!
Pictured above Left to right: Brooke's sister (so sorry I don't remember
her name), Brooke, Me, Amy (sticking her head in the picture) and Sarah.
Polly, Amy and Mandi

OK, so this is my review of the movie......
I thought it was good, not as good as the books. The actors were well chosen for the roles that they played. The problem I had with the movie was not being able to hear more of Bella's thoughts. I thought that she seemed more mature in the books. I think by being able to know her thoughts, you really connect with her more. To me, in the movie, she seemed like any other teenage girl that falls in love. I didn't feel the really deep connection that she had with Edward. Another aspect of the movie that I really liked was the humor. When I read the book I didn't get the humor out of it that they brought into the movie. All in all, I liked it and will see it again. I think I might have been over analyzing it because it's the first movie I have watched that was made from a book that I actually read.
Kenlee has been begging me to take her to see it this weekend. We didn't get a chance, maybe next weekend.

Happenings for November

I can't wait for Friday!! I will be going to see "Twilight" the movie!!!! I am going with a group of friends so it should be really fun. I am worried that the movie will be disappointing. I have all these pictures in my mind how things are from reading the books....I wonder how they will turn out in the movie? I guess I'll have to wait and see......
A couple of my friends haven't even read the books! I have no idea how they have waited this long. I guess if you haven't read one, then you don't know what you are missing. Maybe this will entice them enough to break down and read them finally, maybe not.

Kenlee and I are doing much, much better. We have almost finished off our antibiotics. I still have to take her in to the doctor just to make sure that her infection is gone.

We are hosting Thanksgiving dinner at our house again this year for Justin's family. It should be a full house. I just wish I had a finished basement to have more room for everybody to stretch out. It should be fun anyway.

POOF! Its gone...

My paid vacation days are all gone. We don't get sick leave so when we are sick or have a sick child, it comes out of our vacations days. And that's what has happened to me. All gone.

Sunday night, rather 1am Monday morning, Kenlee woke up screaming about her side hurting. I waited for a little while, then decided to take her to the ER. They found that she has another UTI and strep throat. Oh, turns out I have strep too! I have been sick for the past week and not getting any better. So now we are both on antibiotics. I took time off work Monday and Tuesday to be home with her. We are both feeling much better now and back to work and school.

I am sad because I wanted to save at least one vacation day for December so I could have an extra Christmas day off. Such is life, right?

Halloween 2008

This is scary Halloween ME!
Totally 80's. Randi & I at work, well outside the building.
I don't have pictures of Kenlee in her costume on this computer. When I can, I will update with her pictures.
What is up with Halloween these days? I only had like 10 kids stop by our house for candy!
