One Week Left........

The final COUNTDOWN!!! One more week until the final weigh-in. I only lost 2 lbs. this week, for a total of 12. I am not winning, this is for sure. My boss and his wife have lost 30 & 20 lbs! I can't believe it. To win, I would have to lose 10lbs and for 2nd, I would need to lose 7lbs...and that's if they didn't lose any more weight! I don't see that happening. I guess I will have to settle for 3rd place. I really should have started earlier on, then I would stand a chance right now. Stay tuned for the final results March 31st!

I did it!

I passed my CBA exam! My new business cards will read...... Krista Miller, CBA....so official ;)
I am so happy to have that over with!

Other news...I have now lost a total of 10lbs and counting. I have exercised every day (with the exception of last Thursday) for over 4 weeks now. My body doesn't jiggle like it used to! (It was like a fat wave when I did jumping jacks) I don't feel that much smaller, but my clothes don't fit anymore and all my belts are too big. Justin would say, I would do anything to get to go shopping and buy more clothes (he's probably right). Only 2 weeks to go in our contest and I don't think I will win. That's ok though, I think I will continue my little fitness and health quest long after this contest is over. I think a slow and steady pace is best for me. I'm excited to continue and see where I will be in a couple more months!

Thanks for your support!

Science Fair 09

Why is it that things like this stress me out sooooooo much? I am not a big fan of school projects, of any sort.....especially Science Fair Projects! Science wasn't my favorite subject in school and it's certainly not my favorite as an adult. It always seems like I end up helping out too much and having to continuously keep on Kenlee's case to get it done on time. This year was no exception. I left work early yesterday so that we would have some extra time to work on it......4 hours later........
Biological Filtration in a Fish Aquarium
I'm glad she picked a subject that her father could help out with. I think it turned out well. At least we can check it off of the list now!

Pray for Indie

Please pray for this precious baby girl.....Indiana. She is the granddaughter of my boss and good friend, Phil. She was delivered by emergency C-section on Saturday and the family found out on Sunday that somewhere along the way, poor baby Indie suffered a stroke. They know that she has suffered some neuorological damage, but don't know to what extent. They are having her transferred from St.Marks Hospital to Primary Children's today. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

**UPDATE**
They got to bring little Indiana home on Thursday. They ran every imaginable test on her at Primary Children's. Now they just have to wait and see, as she begins to develop, what her limitations might be. Hopefully her brain and her body can adjust well and work together to help her have as normal life as possible. They thank you for your kind words.

The Waiting Game

On Monday, I sat for my CBA (credit professional designation) exam. To sit for this exam, I have taken business credit and accounting classes at the community college for over the last year and a half. Now I have to wait for 4-6 weeks to find out if I passed or not!! I did really well in the classes and feel really good about how I did on the test. So....keep your fingers crossed and lets hope that I passed!
I have to thank Crystal, she is a great friend that I have made, that has taken all the classes with me and been my study buddy through all this. It has been so great to have her live nearby. I honestly wouldn't have done it without her! She's the best!

Tuesday Update

I have been continuing (for the past couple weeks) to work out every single day, sometimes even twice! Today is week six of our Big Fat Loser Competition at work. I am in 3rd place for weight loss percentage. I have lost a total of 7 pounds so far, which really isn't that great considering it has been 6 weeks! I only recently starting getting serious about it and I am finally seeing some results. There are only 4 weeks left in this competition, I had better step things up or I won't stand a chance.
Here are a few things that have helped me:
*The competition of course, I hate to lose at anything.
*Eating breakfast, usually Special K cereal with Fat Free milk, eating a good lunch and a really small dinner. NO, NO, NO snacks after dinner! I do cheat a little, if there is something I really want, I have it, but only a little bit (only during the day, not at night).
*Working out every day, before 8pm.
*Sleep, sleep, sleep. I would take a nap every day if I could! I have to get in those 8 hours of sleep every night!
*Justin and everyone at work keeping on my case!
I am truley surprised at how well everyone (well, almost everyone) has done at work in this competition. It hasn't been the cake walk that I thought it would be......
