I'm back from my little business trip to lovely Elko, Nevada. We went to visit and meet with our customer, Newmont Gold Corporation. The roads on the way out were really bad so it took a lot longer than it should have to get there. But, once we reached Elko, we had a really nice dinner and I got to play some slot machines (my favorite). I didn't lose any money, so that's good!
It was really cool being on the actual mine property. We had to take a safety test to be able to go into secure areas. I can't believe all the safety rules they have! Anyway, we drove down the mine roads where really large equipment (they have way bigger trucks than these) drive. It sure makes you feel small when you're near them.
